Eight Premier Players start in Portugal

Terry Boyle has named eight players from the Principality Welsh Premier League in his side to face Portugal in the Municipal Stadium, Fatima this afternoon (3:00pm).

Port Talbot Town's Lee Surman leads the young Dragons out on his return to the side following injury, whilst TNS forward Alex Darlington wins his first cap at the expense of Luke Sherbon (Aberystwyth) who drops to the bench. There are just three other changes to the starting eleven from the last International against Northern Ireland, with Barrow's Michael Pearson starting at right-back to win his first cap. He replaces the suspended Ryan Edwards of Airbus, with Surman and Kyle Critchell starting in the heart of the defence in place of Lee Bevan and Neath's Sean Cronin who is also suspended.

Altrincham's former TNS defender Rob Williams will win his first cap if he comes off the bench, whilst Jamie Reed of Bangor who has bagged 18 goals this season can be called upon for more firepower from a strong bench.
