Two off at Stebonheath as Llanelli stay top

Two Players were sent off in the clash between League leaders,Llanelli and Port Talbot at Stebonheath Park on Tuesday evening. It was Town's Daniel Thomas who was the first to go on 24 minutes after receiving his second yellow card. Prior to this, the prolific Rhys Griffiths had opened the scoring for The Reds making it was an uphilll struggle for the visitors for the rest of the evening. They did have Owain Warlow dismissed seven minutes from time, but hung on to their slender lead to bag the three points.
Just down the road at Carmarthen, recent signing Chris Sharp was the hero for The New Saints getting both goals in the 2-1 win over the home side.
Gap Connahs Quay got a welcome three points with a 1-0 victory at Technogroup Welshpool, where Rob Jones was the scorer, while the game at Maes Tegid finished all square, with Bala's Mark Thompson cancelling out Rob Jones' opener for Newtown.
Looking forward to Wednesday evenings two games, in what could be a vital week for Haverfordwest County who have the first of two home games. They generally perform well at The New Bridge Meadow but will have to do so to beat a Prestatyn side that is having a sound season in both the Welsh Premier League and Welsh Cup. In North Wales, Airbus UK Broughton who currently occupy that vital tenth place in the table and will be looking to increase the gap between them and the clubs below them at Elements Cefn Druids.
