Williams named as Cale's Assistant
New Manager Andy Cale has wasted little time in naming Lee Williams as assistant at Latham Park.
Williams was part of Cale's backroom staff at The New Saints last season, specialising in goalkeeper coaching. He played for TNS in the Loosemores Cup in 2008/09 and was named in the Saints' UEFA squads for a number of years.
He first joined the Saints from Kidderminster Harriers in 1999/00 season and played 27 times for the Saints that year, scoring three penalties!
His long career has seen him play at Colwyn Bay, Birmingham City, Rhyl, Afan Lido, Goytre United, Bangor City, Kidderminster Harriers, Holywell Town and Connah's Quay Nomads and he made 137 Welsh Premier League appearances, netting seven times from the spot. He has also managed both Bangor City and Rhyl.
Williams will take charge for Tuesday's game at Rhayader with Cale away on English FA duties.
