Steelmen add Youth and Experience to their Ranks
Port Talbot Town manager Mark Jones looks to have finalised his squad for the new season with two more arrivals at the GenQuip Stadium.
Former Cardiff City youth team captain and Wales youth international Kye Edwards has signed, while the experienced Nathan Cotterrall completed a surprise return to The GenQuip Stadium on Tuesday night.
Edwards, 19, who has also represented Brian Flynn's Wales Under 17 and Under 19 teams, impressed manager Mark Jones in two pre-season appearances for Port Talbot Town in the centre of defence and completed his move to The GenQuip Stadium following Tuesday's training session.
The tall defender captained Cardiff City in the 2008 FAW Youth Cup Final and has also featured for the Bluebirds first team in numerous friendlies as well as being named on the bench in the Carling Cup before his recent release. Edwards played and impressed for Port Talbot Town in the friendly victories over Goytre United and Glapwell during the last week before agreeing terms on a permanent move. He is expected to join Matthew Rees at the heart of the Port Talbot Town defence on Sunday in their season's opener against Bala Town with Lee Surman suspended.

Manager Mark Jones also added experience to his young side on Tuesday with the signing of veteran winger Nathan Cotterrall from his former club Carmarthen Town. Cotterrall will now start his twelfth consecutive season in the Principality Welsh Premier League, as a Port Talbot Town player having signed for the club for a second time.
Cotterrall, 33, originally signed for Port Talbot Town under Mark Jones in 2003 and scored five goals in just ten league starts having originally made his name in the league with Rhayader, Cwmbran and Barry Town. Cotterrall followed Jones to Carmarthen Town in 2004 and went onto make 165 Welsh Premier League starts for the Richmond Park club during the next six seasons.
A popular player during his initial spell at Port Talbot Town, Cotterrall was a former professional with Barry Town and brings a wealth of Welsh Premier League and European experience to the club from his time in the domestic top-flight and offers Mark Jones a new left-sided option following Scott Barrow's recent move to Blue Square Premier Club Tamworth.
The talented duo take the number of summer signings upto seven following the earlier arrivals of David Burnett, Craig Jones, Luke Bowen, Nicky Palmer and David Brooks.
