Prestatyn capture Wrexham defender on Loan
Prestatyn Town manager Neil Gibson has strengthened his squad on the eve of the new campaign by completing the loan signing of Wrexham defender Kai Edwards.
The Wales under 19 and semi-pro international is a physical, strong and verstaile defender who can play at right-back or in the heart of defence and he has also played as a midfielder for Dean Saunders during his time with the Dragons.
Edwards has also played for Terry Boyle's Wales Semi Professional team, winning his first semi-pro cap in the friendly match against Poland, but he withdrew from the squad that played Northern Ireland in Belfast due to his Wrexham commitments.
The youngster is rated highly by Brian Flynn and will make his Principality Welsh Premier League debut at Park Hall on Friday evening against the Champions TNS.
The Seasiders completed the signing of Edwards on Thursday after the youngster completed training with the Conference team at Wrexham's Colliers Park.
This Kai Edwards is not to be confused with Kye Edwards who is also a defender and has just signed for Port Talbot Town. Confusingly, they both played for the Wales under 17 and 19 teams at the same time!
