Llanelli sign young former Swans Duo

Scott Evans during his time at Port TalbotLlanelli have signed two young former Swansea City players, but neither will be able to play in the Reds' season opener at Airbus UK Broughton as the former Champions missed the 5pm weekend deadline on Friday.

Scott Evans, 21, has previous Welsh Premier League experience with Port Talbot Town for whom he played in 2008/09 season, is a Swansea-born youngster who joined the Steelmen on loan in August 2008. After making 14 (+6) appearances in his initial loan spell at the GenQuip Stadium, Evans extended his stay with the Steelmen until then end of the 2008/09 Season and made a total of 17 (+12) for the club.

He was a regular Youth and Reserve team player for Manchester City, but returned to Swansea to play for his home town club in January 2007 in order to play First Team Football. He was capped for Wales at Under-17 level during his time at Manchester City.

Eighteen year old striker Adam Orme was also released by Swansea City at the end of last season and capped his final appearance in a Swans' shirt with two goals and the official Man of the Match in the FAW Youth Cup Final win over Wrexham in May at the Liberty Stadium. Orme can also play on either the right or left wing and has played for the Reds Under 19's in pre season.
