Super Sub Jebb Spoils Trundle's Debut
Bangor City 2-1 Neath FC
Eddie Jebb came off the bench to score the winner for Nev Powell's Bangor City, which spoilt Lee Trundle's Neath debut at Farrar Road.
The hosts took the lead when referee Kevin Morgan awarded a penalty, which Dave Morley converted on 19 minutes. The visitors responded well though and defender Liam Hancock equalised for the Eagles three minutes later.
With the match heading for a draw, Powell brought winger Jebb off the bench for his cousin Alan Bull and the super-sub struck the eventual winner with six minutes to play.
h3>Debutant Whitfield get's Cale off to Flyer
<Haverfordwest County 0-1 Newtown
Striker Craig Whitfield scored the only goal of the game on the hour to get Newtown's new Manager Andy Cale's reign off to the best possible start. The young forward, who spent last season on loan at the Druids, only completed his switch to the Robins yesterday and he proved to be the match winner at the Bridge Meadow Stadium.
Five Second-Half Goals in Live S4C Thriller
Carmarthen Town 2-3 Aberystwyth Town
After a goalless first-half in the first live match of the season, there were five second-half goals to enjoy in a thriller at Richmond Park in front of S4C's cameras.
The hosts took the lead as commanding centre-back Lee Bevan scored on his Old Gold debut with 63 minutes played. But, the Seasiders were level just two minutes later when young Aberystwyth substitute Steff Edwards who beat Carmarthen's debutant goalkeeper Mike Lewis on 65 minutes to equalise.
A double salvo in two minutes from two more debutants, Ryan Marriott and Ricky Evans gave Aberystwyth a 3-1 lead on 73 minutes, and although another debutant Craig Frater scored a maiden Carmarthen goal with twelve minutes remaining, it was Manager Alan who overcame his opposite number Tomi in the Battle of the Morgans.
