Australian FA give Welsh Duo the Green Light

Jamie Reed is back with BangorAberystwyth Town and Bangor City have been boosted with the news that the Australian FA has cleared Luke Sherbon and Jamie Reed to complete their transfers back to the Principality Welsh Premier League.

Luke Sherbon has returned to Aber

Both players will be able to feature in their respective teams this weekend, so Sherbon is available to boss Alan Morgan for this evening's first home match of the campaign against Mid-Wales rivals Newtown. He is expected to go straight into the starting line-up with Cledan Davies or Lewis Codling missing out.

On Saturday afternoon, Bangor travel to Maes Tegid for the second live match of the season to face Bala Town. But Reed, who bagged thirty goals in his debut season at Farrar Road last season including one in the Welsh Cup Final may have to settle for a place on the bench at best.

The emergence of strikers Alan Bull and Chris Jones and the return to fitness of fans' favourite Les Davies means that competition for places in Nev Powell's forward line is intense. Wingman Eddie Jebb came off the bench to score the winner against Neath last week, so he is also pushing for a starting place.
