Two League Graduates called into Wales U.19 Squad
Two players who have graduated from Welsh Premier League clubs have been named in the Wales Under-19 squad for Wales' friendly International Match in Liechtenstein next month.
The call-up for new Wolves teenage sensation Jack Cassidy is another achievement in what has been a sensational month for the youngster from Conwy. The 17-year old striker put pen to paper on a two-year-contract with a further year's option in Wolves' favour, having joined from Airbus UK Broughton for an undisclosed fee two weeks ago.
He gains his first call-up, having spent last season playing for Llandudno Junction in the Welsh Alliance, scoring 28 goals in 32 games last season. He then caught the eye playing in pre-season friendlies for Craig Harrison's Wingmakers, scoring seven goals in seven pre-season friendlies, including strikes against Wrexham and a young Everton XI. He never turned out in a competitive game for Airbus and now Wales Youth Teams Manager Brian Flynn has turned to the 6'1 youngster for his Under 19 team for the International at the Sportpark Eschen.
Former Aberystwyth Town striker Tom Bradshaw also gains a first call-up and could even partner Cassidy in a 'Little and Large' strike force in the red of Wales.

The diminutive striker played for the Seasiders in the Welsh Cup Final against Bangor City in May 2009 and scored two goals from four starts and a further five substitute appearances in the Welsh Premier League in the 2008/09 season. The diminutive forward joined the Aberystwyth Town Academy aged 12 and progressed through to the Welsh Premier League from the reserve side.
He then joined the Shrews just over twelve months ago on second-year scholar terms, but broke into the first team towards the end of his first season as the club, scoring a brace on his debut in the Shrews 3-0 win at Crewe's Gresty Road in April and he also struck in their last game of the season.
It was then reported back in May that the starlet was being tracked by three Premier League teams with Fulham, Wolves and Birmingham all interested according to newspaper reports in the Sun.
They will join Wales Under 21 internationals Daniel Alfei (Swansea City), Jonathan Williams (Crystal Palace), Billy Bodin (Swindon Town) and Elliott Chamberlain (Leicester City) in the strong squad.
Former Wrexham and Blackburn goalkeeper Anthony Williams, who is still on Neath's books will also travel as the goalkeeping coach. The squad meet up in the London Heathrow Marriot on Saturday 11th September with the match kicking-off at 6.00pm on the Tuesday.
