Griffiths on the Mark again for Bluebirds

Caersws won their third game of the season and their second back-to-back with a 1-0 triumph over GAP Connah's Quay on Tuesday evening.

It was a miserable night for the new manager of the Nomads, Ken Price, who took charge of his side for the first time this evening after swapping roles with Mark McGregor last Friday.

The Bluebirds enjoyed a 1-0 win over Elements Cefn Druids on the weekend and repeated the same scoreline at the Recreation Ground against the Nomads.

Ironically, it was not only the same scoreline, but also the same scorer as Saturday, with Mark Griffiths registering his fourth of the campaign to claim another welcome three points for the Bluebirds.

The ex-Newtown forward scored with 41 minutes played and it proved to be the only goal of the game, thus damaging the Deesiders' hopes of a place in the restructured league. Caersws have now opened a four point gap over the Druids, who lie bottom of the table.
